PlayStation Plus Price Hike Coming

Bad news, PlayStation Plus members: a price hike is coming. From September 22, the price of the 12-month PlayStation Plus (PS Plus) membership will rise from US$fifty to Us$60 and the three-month offer will increase to U.s.$ from US$xviii.

According to Sony, this marks the kickoff time it'due south increasing PS Plus membership prices in the Usa and Canada since launching the service in 2022.

"The new pricing reflects the current market place conditions while enabling us to proceed providing infrequent value to our members," Sony wrote in the update. "We thank all of you, our PlayStation Plus members, for your ongoing support."

For the uninitiated, PS Plus offers perks like online multiplayer, costless games each month, online game save storage, and 'exclusive discounts' on PlayStation merchandise.

Current members take notation, if you find this price increase ridiculous and want to abolish your PS Plus membership, be certain to plough off machine-renewal in your account settings before September 22. The new prices will accept affect if your membership renews on or later that engagement.

Meanwhile, this month's line-upwardly of costless PS Plus games includes Catchy Towers and Rebel Galaxy for PS4, Yakuza 5 and Retro/Class for PS3, Patapon 3 for PS Vita, and Ultratron for all 3 platforms.
